Her performances in Guiding Light as Marina Cooper and Dawson's Creek as Marcy Bender are the most well-known of her roles. She was in two seasons of Showtime series Weeds featuring Mary Louise Parker. She starred as Judy Kramer, a Fox show that debuted in 2005. She also appeared as Marcy Bender on Dawson's Creek. She played Marina Cooper for three years in Guiding Light, a role that earned her the 2003 SOPOD award for Best Newcomer. From 2007 through 2008 Dollar was a character on Cindy Thomas on the ABC show Women's Murder Club. The actress was on NBC's 2012 series pilot Happy Valley but it was not picked up.
