Annie Lennox

Annie Lennox, born 25th December 1954 in Aberdeen Scotland. Dorothy Farquharson was her mother as was Thomas Allison Lennox was her father. Lennox took classes in piano, flute and harpsichord in the Royal Academy of Music London for three years in the 70s. She was able to survive on a student salary and part-time work to help supplement her income. Lennox did not feel satisfied with the level of her skills compared to others at Royal Academy and began looking for alternative paths. Lennox was a part of a group known as Dragons Playground as the flute player in 1976. However, she left prior to her group being requested to take part in I.T.V.'s talent show New Faces. The singer was the primary vocalist for The Tourists a British pop group from 1977 until 1980. There she made friends with Dave Stewart who would later join Eurythmics. Lennox was working on her own debut record Diva. It was released in 1993. It received lots of praise from the press and critics. Nostalgia Lennoxs six solo album was released in the month of October 2014. was Nostalgia Lennox. The C.D. Lennox chose her favorite soul jazz blues tracks from childhood. Lepidoptera includes four keyboard improvised tracks. The E.P. The E.P. is her debut solo album, and is a sequel to her art work designed at the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art entitled Now I Let you Go... Annie Lennox is a Scottish musician and singer who was born on the 25th of December 1954. The Tourists had a minor success in the late 1970s. Lennox, along with Dave Stewart, a fellow musician, proceeded to achieve international fame in 1990s when they formed the Eurythmics. Lennox's 1992 debut album Diva was a huge success, featuring a variety of songs like Why, as well as Walking on Broken Glass. Medusa the album she released in 1995 has cover versions of songs such asNo MoreI Love Yous andA Whiter Shade of Pale. The singer is acknowledged with six studio albums solo as well as a compilation.
